Statement:
"…I think wherever we are we reproduce ourselves. People reflect themselves by their surroundings. We create an order around us, a mirror of what we are. I'm fascinated by what objects absorb of people."

-Elena Climent, Windows from Here to Then
Elena Climent's prints conjure for us a richly textured world where the air is dense and humid and laden with the scent of freshly cut flowers. This world is vibrant, super-real, and always seems poised at the very height of summer. Her images invite introspection and contemplation of the objects so painstakingly captured, which are treasured for their simplicity and beauty, rather than for their value or worth. Her prints offer us memories, her memories, of Mexico.
